PROPGRAMME OFFERED WITH ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

1. Diploma in International History and Diplomacy (DIHD).

Admission Requirements: An applicant must have the minimum five papers SSCE, O/L Credit Passes including English Language and History or Government at one or two sittings.

2. Bachelor of Arts, B.A. in History and International studies.

Admission Requirement: An applicant must have the minimum five papers SSCE, O/L Credit Passes including English Language and History or Government at one or two sittings. The subjects to be offered in the UME should include History or Government and any other two subjects from the Arts and Social Sciences.

3. Master’s Degree, M.A., M.Sc., etc: M. A. in Peace and Conflict Studies

Admission Requirements:  

1. Candidates seeking admission into the M.A Programme must posses a good Degree in History and International Studies, International Relations or allied discipline in the Humanities and the Social Sciences approved by the Senate of the University of Uyo.
2. B.A (Hons) in relevant discipline plus Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) in Peace and Conflict Studies of the Department may be considered for admission. Candidates with Third Class Degree who possesses the PgDip of the Department may also be considered
4. Master’s Degree in:  M.A in International History and Diplomacy

                  Admission Requirements:       Same as above

5.       Master’s Degree in:                African History

                  Admission Requirement:        Same as above

6. Postgraduate Diploma (PDG) in Peace and Conflict Studies

Admission Requirements:  Every applicant for admission to the Postgraduate Diploma in Peace and Conflict studies shall be:

1. A graduate of the University of Uyo or any other University recognized by the Senate of the University of Uyo.
2. A holder of a Third Class Honour Degree in any field of study and
3. A hold of HND (Upper or Lower Credit) from any tertiary institution recognized by the Senate of the University of Uyo                   
7. Doctorate Degree:            Ph.D in African History

Admission Requirement:  Candidates for the Ph.D Programme must be holders of the Masters Degree in History and International Studies of the University of Uyo or any other University approved by the Senate.
