-University of Uyo is a Federal University, funded 100% as per personnel cost by the Government.
-Financial year of the University is 30th June of every YEAR
-Accounts of the University are audited by independent Auditors appointed by the University Governing Council
-Copies of the audited accounts are published by distribution to:
- National Universities Commission
- Auditor-General for the Federation
- Accountant-General of the Federation
- Public Accounts Committee of the House of Representative
- Public Accounts Committee of the Senate.
-Accounts of the University have been audited up to 2010.
