1. Admission Requirements (University Matriculation Examination)

The Department offers a 4-year degree programme for qualified candidates with 5 credit passes including English Language and a pass in Mathematics at ‘O’ level examinations.  Knowledge of Elementary Mathematics would also be of advantage.

1. Direct Entry (D/E)

The Department admits NCE holders in relevant areas for a 3-year degree programme.

1.        Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Special Education (Full time)

(c)          Master’s Degree in Education (M.Ed.) in Early Childhood Education    (Full time).

1. Admission Requirements:

 

1. Applicants for admission to a Master’s Degree shall be:
1. A graduate of the University of Uyo
2. A graduate of any other University recognized for the purpose by the University of Uyo.
3. A holder of a recognized Postgraduate Diploma in a relevant field.

1. An applicant for a Master’s Degree Programme shall possess     not less than a Second Class Honours Degree in the Lower Division.

(d)     Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Early Childhood Education
(Full time)
(i)    Admission Requirements:
Candidates for admission to the programme shall normally be holders of the Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education of this University or other universities recognizes by Senate who have attended accepted level of performance in the M.Ed. Programme.
Holders of appropriate Master’s Degree of the University of Uyo or of other universities recognized by the Senate who also hold Postgraduate Diplomas in Education are eligible for admission.
