FUNCTIONS OF THE DIRECTORATE
The functions of the Directorate among others are to:

1. Promote, facilitate and coordinate collaborations between the University of Uyo and other academic, research institutions within and outside Nigeria.
2. Work with Faculties and Departments to enhance the University as a centre of excellence in teaching and research activities
3. Coordinate the various linkage programmes in the University of Uyo
4. Provide relevant services to visiting scholars and students to the University of Uyo
5. Work with international organizations (AAU, IAU, ACU, etc.) in the overall interest of the University of Uyo
6. Organise any other academic activities that are beneficial to the University of Uyo community and raise the image of the university

The Directorate of International Programmes has just a single unit with Mr. Idongesit Nsubong as the Senior Assistant Registrar
