BRIEF INTRODUCTION
The Vice-chancellor’s office of the University of Uyo was established in 1984 when the University of Cross River State was established.  It was taken over in 1991 when University of Uyo came into existence.
The office is occupied by Prof. (Mrs.) Comfort M. Ekpo, a professor of Educational Technology.
The Vice-Chancellor’s office is the main administrative and academic office of the University.  The Vice-Chancellor is the chief Executive officer of the University.  The office serves as the nerve centre of activities in areas of protocol, external relations and coordination of various internal departments.  The Vice-Chancellor oversees the day to day administration of the University.  She ensures that the goals and objectives of the University are accomplished.
