The new Chancellor of the University of Uyo, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Muhammadu Abali Ibn Muhammadu Idrissa, the Emir of Fika   was installed on April 10^th, 2010 at the Convocation Arena of the University at a colorful ceremony.  Installation was performed by the Visitor to the University, Acting President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, GCON on April 10^th, 2010.
